Solar floodlights

Floodlighting is the high-output end of the solar range: yards, work areas, signage and security wash lighting where a marker light is not enough. The catalogue's floodlight offer is a single flexible series rather than a shelf of unrelated models — one IP67 platform with lamp power options from 25 W to 300 W — plus a garden floodlight variant of the same platform.

Solar LED floodlight series

The series record lists lamp powers of 25 W, 40 W, 60 W, 100 W, 200 W and 300 W under one model family (PY- Solar led floodlight), driven by a 6 V 28 W polycrystalline silicon panel. The enclosure is rated IP67 with a 270° lighting angle, colour rendering above Ra 90, a 6000 K cool-white output, a recorded service life of 50,000 hours and a 3-year warranty — the strongest warranty figure in the solar catalogue. The black housing weighs 5 kg in the recorded configuration.

Solar garden floodlight

The garden floodlight shares the platform's key figures — IP67, the 6 V 28 W panel class, 160 lm/W efficacy in the record and the same lamp-power ladder — in a garden-positioned variant. For most programmes the two records are quoted as one family; tell the desk whether the lights are for landscape wash or yard/security duty and the configuration will be matched.

Portable solar work floodlight

A third flood format sits between the bulb and solar lines: the portable solar work floodlight (also recorded as the rechargeable solar work light). It is a 5,000 lm portable unit at 2.5 kg with a 120° beam and 6–12 hours of recorded working time, powered from solar, battery, AC or DC. It is covered with the work lights on the LED work and garage lights page.

Sizing a floodlight programme

Is the panel separate from the lamp?

The series is recorded with a 6 V 28 W polycrystalline panel as part of the product configuration; confirm cable and mounting configuration for your chosen wattage at quote stage.

Can the floodlights run all night?

Runtime depends on the lamp power selected and the battery configuration in the final build — state your required hours when you enquire and the configuration will be confirmed.

Positioning a floodlight programme

Floodlights are aimed, not placed. The recording angle that matters is the mounting height against the throw: too low and the beam glares at eye level while the far edge of the yard stays dark; too high and the pool shrinks to a circle under the pole. For yard and work-area programmes, mount at the height the pole plan allows, overlap two mid-wattage fittings rather than straining one large one, and keep one fitting's beam off any neighbour's windows — the commonest source of post-installation complaints. The series' separated 6 V 28 W panel earns its keep here: the panel goes where the sun is, the lamp where the light is needed, and the cable run between them is part of the installation plan rather than an afterthought.
